I’m terrified of flying-stinging-things… except bumblebees. This fat, happy guy is having the feast of his life and he’s all yours.
One only – when it’s gone, it’s gone forever.

Bumblebee Feast – Framed Original Oil Pastel (One Only)
The Story Behind Bumblebee Feast
June 2025 – my very first livestream on the LadyHamiltonArt “Paint & Sip” podcast. 90 minutes, oil pastels (brand new to me), and one very brave bumblebee who agreed to sit still while I drew him stuffing his face with pollen.
Oil pastel is technically a drawing medium, but with all that creamy pigment it feels like painting — so I call it whatever makes you smile.
This piece is pure summer joy: bold color, thick texture, and zero fear (of bees, anyway).
Medium: Oil pastel on toned paper
Framed size: 14×18" (matted, simple black frame)
