22×28" gallery-wrapped canvas – ready to hang, no frame needed.
Abstract-realism portrait of a woman whose life feels broken.
Behind her: a soft, sunlit village painted in loose, hopeful color.
In front of her: her face literally fractured—sections painted in acrylic, then over-painted in oil, separated by deliberate, jagged tape lines.
She looks upward, asking the question we’ve all asked in our lowest moments: “My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2)

One only. Deeply textured, emotionally raw, and impossible to walk past.

Fractured – Original Mixed-Media Canvas (Exhibition Piece, One Only)
The Story Behind Fractured
I started with a generic village under a hopeful sky. Then I painted a woman whose life had come apart—hair askew, eyes lifted upward.
In the middle of painting her portrait, the word “fractured” hit me. I masked arbitrary sections with tape and deliberately painted some in acrylic, others in oil—creating visible fault lines across her face.
When I stepped back, I saw Psalm 121 written all over her: “I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord…”
