Matted, framed, and ready to hang
This watercolor was created in close collaboration with my sister-in-law, L.M. Stephenson (authorlisamarie.com), as the cover art for her short story Glass Lake.
The painting captures a quiet, reflective moment: a young modern-day woman standing on a wooden dock, looking out over the still, mysterious water. The dreamcatcher in the foreground and the misty mountain lake setting weave together themes of identity, heritage, and the thin veil between past and present.
Painted in soft, atmospheric watercolor on 12" × 16" paper, the piece is now professionally matted and framed to a finished size of 16" × 20". The gentle blues and greens of the lake, the warm wood tones of the dock, and the subtle glow of the dreamcatcher create a peaceful yet deeply emotional scene that feels both personal and universal.
