My very first acrylic painting, created the year my husband turned our yard into a giant sunflower patch just for me.
16×20" on canvas – bold, happy, and full of summer light.
Look closely in the lower-left petal and you’ll spot the tiny fly that photo-bombed my garden picture. He earned his place in the title.
Framed to 18×24" in a simple warm wood frame, ready to hang.
One only. When it’s gone, it’s gone forever.

Sunflower and The Fly – Framed Original Acrylic (One Only)
The Story Behind Sunflower and The Fly
2023 – the year my husband surprised me with an entire sunflower patch.
This was the first acrylic painting I ever did in our new library-studio, and the moment I fell in love with painting sunflowers big and bold.
There’s a tiny fly on the lower-left petal – he landed while I was photographing the real flower and refused to leave. I kept him. He’s become everyone’s favorite game of “I-see-it!” when they spot him.
Medium: Acrylic on canvas, 16×20"
