Original oil on canvas, 2026
16" × 16" gallery-wrapped canvas, ready to hang
I laughingly call this painting my “failed abstract.” I originally set out to create my first serious attempt at a true abstract piece. However, my artistic voice had other plans! What emerged instead was this warm, joyful, realistic celebration of summer — a glass of wine raised in a cheerful toast, bathed in golden light with soft, summery colors all around.
In the end, I decided the painting was exactly what it was meant to be: a bright, happy, inviting scene that feels perfect for lovers of art and wine. It was created with the Dahlonega Art & Wine Festival squarely in mind — a little love letter to the joy of good company, good wine, and beautiful summer days.
