This dynamic pen and ink drawing was created in 2023 as part of Inktober, inspired by the daily prompt “wild.” I was especially drawn to the challenge of capturing the raw power, speed, and freedom of wild horses running at full gallop using only ink lines and dramatic contrast.
The piece shows two horses thundering across the landscape, manes and tails flying, dust rising beneath their hooves. Every stroke was placed with intention to convey motion, energy, and untamed spirit. As one of my earlier serious works in ink, it holds a special place in my journey as I pushed myself to master movement and drama in a monochromatic medium.
